Abuela Esperanza
MAYAN ELDER, CURANDERA
Abuela Esperanza is an Intuitive and Dream Interpreter with the rare ability to perceive and interpret dreams while also seeing into subtle realms of color, light, and sound. Her intuitive gifts allow her to recognize energetic imbalances across the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels of one’s being. With compassion and wisdom, she guides others on a path of self-awareness and discovery, helping them reconnect with the messages and medicine within their dreams.
Born in the highlands of Central America in Nicaragua, Abuela Esperanza is the eldest of 15 children and the beloved older sister of Grandmother Flordemayo. Alongside her spiritual gifts, she is also a highly respected and accomplished garment designer. For over 60 years, she has been creating women’s and men’s garments, accessories, and unique handmade pieces. Her gift for design was cultivated at a young age and later refined through her studies with German Master Designer Mrs. Adele Adams in the early 1970s.
Esperanza’s work has garnered admiration from classic designers across the country, including in New York. Her specialty lies in creating hats and headwear for individuals experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy or other medical conditions. Each piece is not only functional but also designed with beauty, softness, and dignity in mind, making them both stylish and deeply personal. Abuela Esperanza continues to weave together her gifts of intuition, creativity, and love into all that she shares with the world.
