Rainey Enjady, a Mescalero Apache woman, walks the sacred path of the peacemaker. Since her earliest years, she has carried the gift of harmony — bringing resolution and understanding within her family, community, and beyond. In 2019, she formally stepped into this ancestral calling, helping to weave Indigenous peacemaking back into the fabric of her people through the Mescalero Apache Tribal Court.

Her journey has carried her across Native lands and international waters, where she has shared the wisdom of Indigenous peacemaking — a practice of healing and balance that has existed since time immemorial. From the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians to the Wabanaki in Maine, from the Mohican homelands of Wisconsin to the shores of Hawaii, from California to Canada and Germany, Rainey has carried the message that peace is possible when we honor our original ways.

As a voice of Life Comes From It and a co-facilitator of national peacemaking gatherings, Rainey has been a guide for many who are remembering the Indigenous ways of restoring justice through community, relationship, and spirit. With deep humility, she brings not only her cultural knowledge but also decades of leadership experience in service to her people.
